The major sins are the great sins and the major sins. The sins are divided into major and minor sins according to the text of the Qur’an and the Sunnah. God Almighty says in His Noble Book:

God, Glory be to Him, the Most High, has promised His faithful servants the forgiveness of sins and minor sins as long as they avoid falling into major sins.
