Rummolo

Rummolo is a first-person card game designed especially to help young children do mental gymnastics with numbers. In the game there is a deck of special cards created following the principles of the scientific theory of "Number Sense" according to which our mind represents numbers with three different codes. When we see the numeric symbols (1,2,3 ...) we use the symbolic code. When we see numbers written with letters (one, two, three) we use the textual code. When we see a number of objects we use analog code.
The cards used in the game have the same structure as the Italian cards (four suits, ten cards per suit) but instead of the traditional suits they use the codes of the Number Sense theory with two variants of the analog code.
The seeds are therefore: 1) SYMBOLIC 2) VERBAL 3) ABSTRACT ANALOGUE 4) COCNRETO ANALOGUE. An important difference from traditional cards is that the card values ​​range from zero to nine.

In the game you can challenge Baldo, a nice virtual character with the appearance of a gnome, with intelligence and emotional expression. The game implemented in the App is called Rummolo which is a traditional popular game of Cilento (also called the highest card game) created especially to give children the opportunity to familiarize themselves with numbers. The game can be considered a very simplified version of the Briscola since each hand wins the player who threw the card with the highest value regardless of the suit of the card (which is considered only in case of a tie). The scores associated with the cards simply correspond to their numerical value (the ace is worth one point, the two is worth two points, the three is worth three points etc).
