The author of this text is Zain al-Din Abu Hafs Omar bin Al-Muzaffar bin Omar bin Muhammad bin Abi Al-Fawares Al-Ma’ari Al-Kindi, known as Ibn Al-Wardi, a famous writer, poet, historian, and Shafi’i jurist. The Lamiyya poem is attributed to Ibn al-Wardi, and it is a poem that ends with the letter al-Ruyi al-lam, and it is a famous poem, which Ibn al-Wardi organized before his departure from life to be in the form of a will. It included the manners that the scholar and the educated must contemplate and know their legal evidence, for God Almighty created man with a sound instinct that loves good and rejects evil, and the law of Islam came to refine this instinct.
