Kindness to parents is one of two characteristics:

Justify them with the tongue
This is done by saying the kind and generous, and avoiding words that do not suit their rights, and avoiding insulting or insulting them, so the son calls them with the names that are dearest to their hearts, and does not speak in their presence except out of knowledge or need, and if he is with them, he must speak with politeness, leniency and reverence.

Bless them with work and limbs
And that is for the length of their companionship, keeping them, spending on them, facilitating their affairs, and taking care of their affairs, so it is not permissible for a child to go out on a traveler without their permission, and from obeying them by means of protection, feeding them, housing them, and taking care of their needs.

Honoring one’s parents is the children’s benevolence towards their parents in word and deed, with the goodness of the ten with them and their obedience as much as possible except in disobedience. And when one of the Companions asked him - may God be pleased with them -: (Oh, Prophet of God, which deeds are closest to Paradise? He said: Prayers are on their appointed times, I said: What, O Prophet of God? He said: The righteousness of the parents. Jihad for the sake of God).
