Schumbraders

The Domat / Ems drum club was founded in 1931 and is one of the largest pure drum sections in Switzerland. In the meantime, around 100 drums are active in various groups. The three groups of beginners give the club the opportunity to give its pupils enough time to learn drum playing well. The association can count on an impressive number of well-trained leaders.

This is one of the reasons why the association achieved some great successes regionally (Eastern Switzerland) but also nationally. In addition to the competition, the main goals of the club are good companionship and the care of the cultural drums. This cultural heritage extends from traditional Basel drums to participation in church festivals to modern drums. Various instruments are used for this.

Thanks to its success but also due to the very good youth work, the Domat / Ems drum club has become a cultural bearer of its division but also for the village of Domat / Ems. Participation in various events throughout Switzerland bears the name of our association and thus of our village throughout Switzerland.
