What is OSES?
The O nline S chicht E rfassungs S ystem is the new way for drivers of Deutsche Bahn AG to manage your layers. With a few clicks you make your opinions in a short time an overview of your working hours, holidays and more. are at your fingertips you forms such as stay-, travel expenses, special service list and Work Orders * and more.
How does OSES?
The system is server-based and does modern techniques of Web 2.0 and cloud computing to use. Through a permanent online connection all your layers are always synchronized between your devices. Whether you want to work with the PC, Mac, or Smartphone2 Tablet2, you're always with all devices up to date.
Is OSES free?
Yes, OSES is currently completely free of charge. It stuck not primarily commercial purposes behind the project. Some additional features, such as the fax documents are, however, be useful in the future is an additional charge to cover the resulting operating and development costs.
How can I use OSES?
To use the system, the one-time activation of the account with a valid activation key is necessary. This you get either an invitation from a colleague of OSES already using, or you fill on the home page of the application for a new user account. A moderator will then consider your application and send you the data necessary to activate your account. This process is necessary to prevent register minority people in the system, as for example, the current reference layers are not intended for third parties.
Who's behind it?
The system is operated by me, Christian Steiner, purely private. I am self-drivers at DB Regio Franken in operation, with work site in Neustadt (Aisch). Besides my work I currently train drivers groin still a correspondence course in electronics and information technology, and thus combine my experience in working with my skills in information technology. The development of OSES began in 2011, due solely to the fact that existing software is either not specific to the railway enough error-prone or too complex and complicated to use. The ability to use on mobile devices was also a new ambitious goal. As a pure hobby project I have made it my mission therefore to change this and to make it to my colleagues.
Why is OSES available only to employees of Deutsche Bahn AG?
Unfortunately, this has legal grounds. The system collects and processes data, which could pose an unfair advantage to competitors of Deutsche Bahn AG if they become public. This is based on the law against unfair Wettewerb (UWG), exactly the §17. In addition, the calculation bases in the system itself and not for the EDP and collective agreements of various other RUs are adjusted. For the distant future it may be possible internally within the program to separate the einzelenen companies from each other, but is here above all the effort in the development, for me personally out of proportion to the benefits.
* Certain forms are not available in some regions. Work orders only at DB Regio with DiLoc | Sync on the same terminal and selected operation sites !
