Il Vocabolario Treccani

The application allows consultation of the new vocabulary of the Italian language, with about 100,000 entries completely renewed in the definitions and the setting.

Characteristic of this vocabulary is the ease of consultation, research and interpretation of definitions: particular attention has been paid to the abandonment of the vocabulary, in the reduction of abbreviations, in the elimination of any lexicographic short circuit that produces infinite reference among the voices to understand meaning. Furthermore, examples taken from the real use of the language were included.

The Vocabulary allows free consultation of the entries in the basic vocabulary of Italian: a set of about 2000 words with which we process about 90% of everything we say or write, regardless of content, destination and style.

· Proposal of a lemma of the day to enrich one's own vocabulary

· Incremental quick search by initial letter

· Advanced search, with possibility to use wildcards, indicate the number of characters, the position of certain letters, search independently of the position within the word

· Navigation through list and index by initial letter

· Navigation through the entries via swipe

· Adding words to a list of favorites

· Storing the browsing history
