Cantos Santa Misa

Today, the most popular term to designate the celebration that the Lord commanded us to do in his memory, has become more commonly used as Mass. It is believed that this word comes from the farewell formula of the Mass in Latin: Ite missa est, which is equivalent to "You can go in peace, the Mass is over." No term fully encompasses the entire mystery, from the place where we celebrate Holy Mass. However, the Constitution on the Sacred Liturgy defines it for us as: "sacrament of piety, sign of unity, bond of charity, paschal banquet, in which the coming of Christ is awaited, the soul is filled with grace and we are give a pledge of glory to come "(n. 47).

The Mass and the Liturgy are the source and the culmination of all Christian activity. In this celebration we always quench our hunger and thirst for God and find the fullness of all our aspirations for happiness and eternal life.
