You can change the look of mobs as you would with skins, and create brand new worlds as with mods, but without any hacks required.

To install new Add-Ons, follow the instructions at minecraft.net/addons. HOW TO INSTALL ADDONS (. MCADDON)
- Download the file with the extension .mcaddon.
- Open the file through any file explorer.
- Launch Minecraft Pocket Edition.
- Wait for the addon to import.
- Select any world and click edit.
- Select Resource Packs.
- Find the addon and activate it.
- Choose Behavior Packs.

mcpack file extension, click on that file with you file manager and select mcpe to open it with. The game will open automatically and will start importing the pack, Then go to settings and then global resources and search for your resource pack and in the list and enable it.
